Frequently Asked Questions

1Is there any cost to visit an upGrad Offline Centre?

No, there is absolutely no cost involved in visiting an upGrad offline centre. Learners can walk in or book a scheduled visit to explore programs, attend personalised career counselling sessions, and understand available learning pathways without paying any consultation or registration fees. The offline centres are intentionally designed as guidance-first spaces, allowing learners to assess program fit, career outcomes, and learning formats before making any financial commitment. There is no obligation to enrol after a visit.

2What payment options are available for upGrad programs?

upGrad offers multiple flexible payment options to ensure affordability and ease of access. Learners can pay using credit cards, debit cards, net banking, or opt for EMI-based instalment plans. Counsellors at an upGrad learning support centre take the time to explain program fees, payment timelines, and suitable financing options based on the learner’s background, income level, and preferences.

3Can I pay for an upGrad offline program in installments or through EMIs?

Yes, upGrad provides EMI and installment-based payment options that allow learners to spread the offline program cost over several months. This approach reduces upfront financial burden and makes long-term upskilling more manageable, especially for working professionals and early-career learners. EMI options and eligibility details are discussed clearly during counselling sessions at the upGrad offline centre.

4How much do I pay to block my seat?

To reserve your seat, you are required to pay a non-refundable block amount. The exact fee will be shared with you after you complete and submit the application form.

5Is there any deferral or refund policy for the offline programs?

Refund Policy (for programs with a prep-session component)

  • At the time of enrolment, learners are required to pay a caution amount, which is adjustable against the total program fee.
  • A refund request can be raised any time before the program start date by submitting the Refund Request Form through the ā€œMy Applicationā€ section on www.upgrad.com. Your Admissions Counselor can assist you with the process if needed.
  • A processing fee of ₹10,000 will be deducted from the refundable amount. If the total amount paid is less than ₹10,000, no refund will be applicable.
  • No refunds are permitted after the cohort commencement date, under any circumstances. In such cases, any ongoing EMIs (if applicable) will continue and cannot be cancelled.
  • This policy also applies to learners who could not complete payment or could not be enrolled in their chosen cohort. However, they may request a pre-program deferral, as outlined below.
  • In the event of a refund, learners are solely responsible for cancelling any education loan and bearing any associated cancellation charges.
  • The full program fee must be paid within 7 days of paying the caution amount or before the cohort start date (whichever is earlier). Failure to do so may result in the admission offer being withdrawn.
  • Refund requests must be submitted via email using the prescribed Refund Request Form. Approved refunds will be processed within 30 working days from the program start date.

Deferral Policy
For details related to deferrals, please refer to the policy mentioned in your offer letter.

6Does Standard Chartered Bank offer 18 or 24 months No Cost EMI?

No. Currently, Standard Chartered Bank provides No Cost EMI options only for a tenure of 12 months, irrespective of the program you choose to enroll in. Longer tenures such as 18 or 24 months are not available under the No Cost EMI facility.

The 12-month No Cost EMI allows you to pay the program fee in equal monthly installments without any additional interest or processing charges, making it easier to manage your education expenses. Please note that the EMI option is subject to approval by the bank, and the exact monthly installment will depend on the program fee and your loan eligibility.

If you need guidance on applying for the EMI or calculating your monthly installments, you can reach out to your Admissions Counselor for detailed assistance.

7Are scholarships or financial aid options available for upGrad programs?

upGrad offers scholarships and financial assistance options for eligible learners based on predefined criteria. These may vary by program, learner profile, or intake. Counsellors at an upGrad learning support centre can guide learners on available scholarship opportunities, eligibility requirements, and application processes, helping reduce the overall cost of learning where applicable.

8Who can visit an upGrad Offline Centre?

The centres cater to learners at different career stages and customise guidance accordingly.

9Do I need to enrol in a program to visit an upGrad Offline Centre?

No specific educational qualifications or work experience are required. Counselling sessions at an upGrad offline learning support centre are personalised based on each learner’s current background, skills, and career aspirations. This makes the centres accessible to learners from diverse academic and professional backgrounds.

11Can working professionals attend upGrad offline classes and support sessions?

Yes, upGrad offline classes and learning support sessions are structured to accommodate working professionals. Centres often offer flexible time slots and guided sessions that help learners balance professional commitments with upskilling efforts.

13How is the curriculum structured in upGrad's offline programs?

upGrad's offline programs follow a structured, modular curriculum designed to balance theory and practical application. Each module includes video lectures, graded assignments, real-world case studies, hands-on projects, and live sessions conducted by experienced faculty. Learners visiting an upGrad offline learning support centre receive additional guidance to navigate the curriculum effectively and apply concepts in real-world scenarios.

14Does upGrad provide hands-on learning and practical exposure?

Yes, hands-on learning is a core pillar of upGrad’s approach. Programs include practical projects, industry-aligned assignments, and case studies that simulate real business or technical challenges. Offline centres further enhance this experience by offering guided workshops and collaborative problem-solving sessions.

15How are live sessions conducted, and how do offline centres support them?

Live sessions are conducted online by industry experts and academic faculty, enabling real-time interaction, discussions, and doubt resolution. Learners can visit an upGrad learning support centre for additional clarification, revision, or post-session discussions to reinforce learning.

16Does upGrad offer offline classes as part of the learning model?

Yes, upGrad follows a hybrid learning model that combines the flexibility of online education with the depth and support of in-person learning. While the core curriculum - such as recorded lectures, assessments, and live online sessions - is delivered digitally, upGrad offline classes and academic support sessions are available at select upGrad offline centres.

These offline classes are designed to strengthen concept clarity, especially for complex or technical topics, through face-to-face explanations, guided problem-solving, and peer discussions. Learners can attend structured doubt-solving sessions, revision workshops, and collaborative learning activities at an upGrad offline learning support centre, making the learning experience more immersive and supportive. This hybrid approach ensures learners benefit from both self-paced learning and real-world academic reinforcement.

17Can I access course material after completing the offline program?

Yes, learners continue to have ongoing access to course material even after offline program completion. This extended access allows learners to revisit recorded lectures, reference learning modules, review assignments, and stay aligned with core concepts long after formal completion of the program.

This feature is especially valuable for professionals who may want to refresh specific skills while transitioning roles, preparing for interviews, or applying concepts in real work scenarios. By retaining access to learning resources, upGrad ensures that education remains a long-term career asset, rather than a time-bound experience.

18Will I receive academic or learning support throughout the offline program?

Yes, upGrad offers continuous and multi-layered academic support throughout the entire classroom learning journey. Learners receive structured guidance through live faculty-led sessions, dedicated teaching assistants, peer discussion forums, and academic doubt-resolution mechanisms.

In addition to online support, learners can visit an upGrad offline learning support centre for in-person academic assistance. These centres act as physical learning hubs where learners can seek personalised help, clarify difficult concepts, and stay accountable to their learning goals. This blended support system ensures learners remain engaged, confident, and consistent throughout the program duration.

Learners also benefit from exposure to industry expectations, role-specific skill mapping, and employability-focused guidance. By combining academic learning with practical career support at an upGrad learning support centre, learners are better equipped to translate their education into tangible job opportunities and career progression.

Learners can visit the Offline Centres page, select their preferred city, and choose a convenient time slot for counselling or centre visit. Pre-booking also helps streamline the visit by aligning the session with the learner’s background, career goals, and areas of interest, making the interaction more meaningful and outcome-driven.

22What happens during my first visit to an offline centre?

During the first visit, learners participate in a structured, one-on-one counselling session at the upGrad offline centre. This session focuses on understanding the learner’s educational background, work experience, career aspirations, and skill gaps.

Counsellors then walk learners through suitable programs, explain the curriculum structure, learning format, academic expectations, and potential career outcomes. Learners can also explore the centre infrastructure, understand available offline learning support, and clarify doubts.

23Can I enrol in a program after visiting the offline centre?

Yes, learners who feel confident about their decision can proceed with enrolment after their offline centre visit. This guided enrolment experience ensures learners make informed decisions and clearly understand program commitments before formally starting their learning journey.
