The Higher Learning Commission recently granted Arkansas State University authorization to operate its campus in Doha, Qatar, as an off-campus facility where students can finish degree programs that have been approved by A-State. Global Studies Institute (GSI) in Qatar and A-State are collaborating. Three A-State degree programs are approved for completion by students in Doha by the Qatari Ministry of Education.

History of Arkansas State University

A-State was established as one of four high schools in Arkansas on April 1, 1909, dedicated to teaching horticulture, agriculture, and the craft of textile making. These days, the university's several colleges provide bachelor's, master's, and doctorate degrees. Here is a quick look at its history.

• 1910s- The first classes were held on October 3, 1910 with 189 enrolled students. 
• 1920s- Academic work on campus had transformed into a junior college program by the 1920s.
• 1930s- The academic program evolved into a full four-year college curriculum during the 1930s; in 1932, the first four-year degrees were granted. 
• 1940s- Following the declaration of war in December 1941, enrolment drastically decreased as men enlisted in the armed forces. Eventually, there were only 114 students enrolled, the majority of whom were female.
• 1950s- Master's level graduate programs were first made available in 1955.
• 1960s- Reng expanded the campus and academic offerings during the 1960s, building the necessary infrastructure and backing to achieve university status.
• 1970s- The track and field program helped ASU achieve international notoriety for its athletic excellence, which persisted until the 1970s.
• 1980s- Numerous new events and customs on campus were sparked by the university's 75th anniversary celebration in 1984.
• 1990s- A new period of campus building development, sustained enrolment growth, increased focus on research, and innovative program delivery strategies began this decade.
• 2000s- The establishment of the Arkansas Biosciences Institute in the new century improved the state's reputation for research.
• 2010s- The first American-style university campus run by a U.S. institution in Mexico was founded by A-State.
• 2020s- A-State's strategy for creating and launching a College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) was unveiled on January 17, 2023.

A whopping 93% of the 2022 MSN-FNP graduates were extended job offers. All 2022 FNP-PMC graduates who obtained work offers were 100% of the total. All 2022 MSN-AGACNP graduates who obtained work offers were 100% of them.  All 2022 AGACNP-PMC graduates who obtained work offers were 100% of them.  Of the 2022 MSN-Nurse Educator graduates, 50% obtained job offers in an educational context. With a completion percentage of 64%, the most recent MSN-Nurse Administration class graduated in the 2022–2023 academic year. All of the candidates received job offers. Of the 2022 DNP graduates, all of them obtained job offers that matched their roles.
