Innovation in Education Scholarship

LA Tutors 123 is a company based in Los Angeles that specializes in academic consultation, test preparation, and private tutoring to students in Los Angeles as part of its Innovation in Education Scholarship program.

As a part of the scholarship program, the company provides scholarships to students who have demonstrated artistic, creative, and innovative abilities that help society. It is designed to encourage students who are actively engaged in improving society by participating in work or projects that in the past have helped improve society and people in some way. It is also the criteria to be considered for the scholarship.

An Innovation in Education Scholarship is awarded annually to twelve deserving students for one month each. A candidate must be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States or Canada or a holder of a valid student visa.

A candidate for the scholarship should be among the most exemplary students in their class who have contributed in some innovative or technological way to the betterment of society at large.

Even if a student does not intend to take the services provided by LA Tutors 123, they can apply for the program anyway. Students who wish to apply for the Innovation in Education Scholarship must also meet the following criteria to qualify for the scholarship:

• A student who is enrolled in the U.S. or Canadian high school, college, or university can apply
• At least a 3.0 cumulative GPA is required
• Applicants must create an innovative website, blog post, or app of any kind as part of their innovative creation
• Project goals must be accurately described in the essay submitted by the applicant.
• Essays, ideas, and creations submitted by applicants must be original.
• Families of La Tutors employees are not eligible to apply.

Application deadlines are 11:59 pm PST on the 20th of each month.

Students who have been awarded the LA Tutors 123 for Innovation in Education Scholarship can use the award fund to pay off expenses related to school, such as tuition, books, fees, room, and board, as well as other expenses related to education.

Among the essential benefits of the scholarship is that it is open to international students, i.e., the Innovation in Education Scholarship is also applicable to Indian students. This scholarship will provide a one-time payment of $500 to the successful applicant.

Documents Required

Essay

The student must write an essay in which they describe the goal of the specific project and provide supporting documentation for the same. It is not necessary to adhere to a minimum or maximum word count or the number of pages.

There has to be a brief description of the goal of the particular project in the essay, as well as a link to a screencast, blog, or smartphone app (if applicable) where the content can be accessed. There are only two types of file formats accepted: Word and PDF.

Letter of Recommendation

For a student’s letter to be as effective as possible, it should be sent by someone who has overseen the project or has direct knowledge of the quality of their work on it. There is no restriction on the type of recommendation letter that can be submitted. The document must be in Word or PDF format.

How to Apply 

Let’s understand how to apply for the Innovation in Education Scholarship. Certain criteria must be met to apply for the scholarship. If one is interested in applying for the LA Tutors 123 Innovation in Education Scholarship, one can access the application form on the LA Tutors 123 website and fill it out accordingly.

To apply, the applicant must provide personal information such as their name, email address, phone number, and the name of their high school/college.

The candidate will have to upload all the documents mentioned above at one time by clicking on the button ‘Upload Scholarship Documents’ and selecting all the files. To participate in the program, the student must submit the completed application by the 20th of the month of the particular program in which they wish to participate.

Selection

• Scholarship applications are evaluated based on creativity, innovation, and user experience. This is a project that requires a combination of imagination and technical ability on the part of the applicant.
• Each month, three judges will review, assess, and evaluate all applications.
• The project’s success will be measured by how well it solves the problem, how well the applicant explains their perspective, and how it strives to cultivate innovative and future-focused outcomes.
• A candidate must upload their submissions by 11:59 p.m. PST on the 20th of every month.
• After the 20th of every month, the submission window will remain closed until the 1st of the following month at 8:00 a.m.
• LA Tutors 123 will contact scholarship winners by email, and they must accept their awards within five days of receiving the email. An alternate recipient will be chosen if there is no response within a certain period.
