upGrad and SUNY Launch Undergraduate Program with Transfer Pathway to U.S. Campuses

In a significant development for Indian students aspiring to pursue higher education in the United States, upGrad, one of the leading integrated online learning platform, has partnered with the State University of New York (SUNY).

SUNY, the largest public university system in the United States with 64 campuses, is extending its reach to Indian learners through this collaboration. 

The partnership enables students to begin their undergraduate studies through SUNY Global Academy Online and transfer earned credits to any of the 64 SUNY campuses, including institutions such as: 

• Cornell University 
• Stony Brook University 
• University at Buffalo 
• University at Albany

Students will complete the first year remotely through SUNY Global Academy, earning 30 General Education (GenEd) credits. 

The online curriculum is supported by structured academic mentorship and leadership modules, including Harvard Business Review case studies, preparing learners for a smooth academic transition.

Designed specifically for Indian high school graduates, the program offers a flexible and cost-effective entry into the U.S. education system. 

It features coursework in high-demand fields such as Computer Science, Business, Engineering & Tech, Nursing and Health, Architecture, Economics, Law, and Liberal Arts.
The structure is aimed at ensuring students are academically and culturally prepared for their on-campus transition.
