Students who want to study in Hungary can apply for a Schengen D Type or C Type Visa depending on your course duration. If your course duration is longer than 90 days (3 months) then you have to apply for a D Type Visa. For short-term courses of less than 90 days, you have to apply for a C Type Visa.

Is Hungary study visa easy?

It is easy to get a Hungary student visa if you meet the general eligibility requirements. The requirements include an acceptance offer from a Hungarian university, university enrolment documents (proof of fee payment), and proof of funds to pay for accommodation.

How much does a study visa cost in Hungary?

When you apply for a Schengen student visa in Hungary, you have to pay an administrative service fee. The cost of applying for a Hungary student visa is approximately €60 or HUF 18,000.

Can I get PR in Hungary after study?

It is possible for students to get a PR in Hungary after completing studies. Post graduation, students need to apply for a post-study work permit or the study-to-work permit which allows them to stay in Hungary for 9 months and look for job opportunities or start a business. After securing a job and working in Hungary for 3 years, students can apply for permanent residence in Hungary.

So, students from non-Schengen countries like UK and Ireland, and developing countries like India, have to apply for a visa in advance to study in Hungary if they have received an acceptance from a recognized Hungarian University.
