The PTE score or Pearson Test of English decides an individual admission to Canadian colleges or universities. Numerous educational institutions in Canada generally accept this PTE test. The primary purpose of this PTE test is to check students' English language proficiency (ability to speak, write, read, and listen to English).

Canadian universities and colleges have different PTE score ranges for their degree program. Also, this score varies for graduate programs, diplomas, master's degrees, and doctoral degrees. Moreover, the PTE score ranges differ between Canadian institutions and universities.

You must obtain the specific university or college's PTE score to get admission into that college or university in Canada. Although Canadian educational institutions commonly accept scores between 60 and 70, the criteria vary by program. Applicants seeking a diploma from Canada must score at least 45 on the PTE Examination.

Each module requires 36 points as a minimum. Bachelor's degrees in Canada require applicants to score at least 50 points. Each section requires a minimum score of 45 points. For a diploma or master's degree at any major Canadian university, an individual must earn 65 points. Each section must be scored at least 50 points.

Nevertheless, certain universities or programs stipulate higher scores, ranging from 65 to 70, for admission. Graduate programs encompassing master's or doctoral degrees necessitate slightly elevated PTE scores. Recognized Canadian educational institutions issue offer letters, validating students' English proficiency.

It is crucial to note that different universities and programs maintain distinct score prerequisites. While some institutions specify requirements for individual PTE sections such as speaking, writing, reading, and listening, others consider the overall score. To meet English proficiency requisites, certain universities offer conditional admission, allowing students to complete an English preparation course before commencing their primary program.
