SAT (Scholastic Assessment Test):

  • SAT is a test many universities use to check your readiness for college. Almost all colleges in the United States accept (SAT) scores as part of their application process.

ACT (American College Testing):

  • ACT is a college entrance test that evaluates your skills and critical thinking, which is crucial for US college applications. The minimum score is 25, but it varies by course and university. Elite colleges often require the ACT with writing, similar to the SAT, for admission consideration. It's all about finding your testing match!

GRE (Graduate Record Examination):

  • Taking the GRE is recommended for US graduate programs, especially in engineering. Alongside the general test, there are seven subject-specific options. Scoring starts at 170, and results vary across programs. 

GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test):

  • To secure admission to a (US) B-School, passing the GMAT exam is crucial, with the average score being 450. A strong GMAT score and GPA play key roles in the selection process. To pursue an MBA in the (US.), you'll likely need a good GMAT score.  

TOEFL or IELTS:

  • In IELTS, your scores in listening, reading, writing, and speaking go from 0 - 9, and the average shapes your final result. Meanwhile, (TOEFL), managed by ETS, is a 3-hour test with sections scored from 0 - 30. The highest total score is 120, and if you take TOEFL iBT multiple times, you can use the best scores from each section.
