Total student enrollment stands at more than 16,000. There are also 1,400+ international students hailing from more than 85 countries. The faculty to student ratio stands at 1:14, while the average class size stands at 26 students. 

The University has its main campus at Holmes Street in Kansas City, and this is known as the Volker Campus. There is another Health Sciences Campus in Kansas City, and this is located at Charlotte Street. It has several research and learning centers and institutions including the Office of Research Services. 

There are several study options at the University. The conservatory produces 400+ events every year, while offering the second-biggest music composition program in the country while the Henry W. Bloch School of Management has both NASPAA and AACSB accreditation. It also has the Regnier Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. There is the School  of Dentistry with eight accredited programs and the School of Education, Social Work and Psychological Sciences with 20+ programs as well. Students can also check out the School of Humanities and Social Sciences with its ten departments and 29+ degree choices. The institution also has schools of medicine, law, and nursing and health studies. There are schools of science and engineering and pharmacy along with the school of graduate studies and the University College. 

Notable alumni include the VCP CEO Bryan Meyer, co-founder and CEO at TripleBlind, Riddhiman Das, former Senior Vice President, Nonclinical and Pharmaceutical Development at Bristol Myers Squibb, Joseph Lambing, and the President and CEO at Hallmark Cards, Inc, Mike Perry. 

There are several career services available for students at the institution including career planning and exploration, internships, job searching procedures, career fairs and career-related events. Students can choose from several job and internship listings while also participating in recruitment drives on the campus.
