Gain an understanding of the complex economic issues in health administration and find innovative solutions to global health problems to make real and sustainable differences to people's lives. The Master of Health Economics program is a joint initiative of UQ's School of Economics and School of Public Health. You'll work closely with leading academic staff from both schools. Study can be tailored to suit your career path, with specialised electives in health financing, public economics, health systems and cost effectiveness. You'll also have the option to complete an original research thesis. Upon graduation, you'll have developed the tools to create change and solve problems in health policy and healthcare, so you can contribute to the long-term sustainability of healthcare systems in Australia or overseas.
