Miscellaneous Costs

Students will have to consider a budget for books, supplies, materials, and other educational requirements when they plan to pursue education at the University of Toronto. Students should have a budget of $1,000 annually per year on books and additional costs for purchasing a computer and other gadgets, depending on their preferences and requirements.

Cost of Living

1. Students living on the campus can expect to spend $8-15,000 per year on living costs

2. Living costs may exceed $15,000 (INR 11.25 lakh) if a student opts to live in rental housing units off-campus.

University of Toronto Admission Requirements 

The students can use the university’s Program Finder to seek admission to the U of T. They can identify their academic backgrounds and review the admission requirements for their intended program of study. The University of Toronto offers provisional admissions to all qualified candidates from all educational backgrounds. Requirements are different for various streams.

• If English is not their first language, students may be required to submit proof of English proficiency by submitting IELTS (6.5 or above) or TOEFL scores. The minimum score required for TOEFL Internet-based Test is 100 + 22 for Writing. PTE, Cambridge, or other tests may also be accepted.
• Undergraduate aspirants need to furnish a +12 certificate to be eligible for admission. Similarly, graduate students need to submit proof of bachelor’s completion.
• If you are applying to a science or commerce/management program, completion of Advanced Placement exams/SAT Subject Tests in prerequisite subjects is recommended.
• GMAT Range required 560 – 760 (if applicable)
• Statement of Purpose.
