The University of Stuttgart’s fees is approximately 650 Euros per semester for second degrees (approximately INR 55,250) and 1,500 Euros per semester for international students (approximately INR 1,27,500).  

Required Exams

There are some University of Stuttgart requirements that you should fulfill, particularly about German language proficiency. A majority of programs are taught in German and the following examinations are applicable in this scenario:

1. TestDaF- Level 4 or higher.

2. German Language Diploma- Level II or DSD II.

3. German Language Diploma of the Goethe Institute or Central Senior Class Exam- C2.

4. German Language Examination II of the Munich Language and Interpreter Institute.

DSH and TELC examination results are not accepted by the university.  

Admission Requirements

Numerous requirements for University of Stuttgart admissions including the following:

1. Higher education entrance degree or qualification, i.e., any school-leaving certificate or diploma.

2. Proof of German language proficiency.

3. Program-specific needs.

4. For some programs taught in English, proof of proficiency is to be provided via the results of the TOEFL test or any equivalent.

5. Most programs have enrollment limits, i.e., 8-10% of spots are reserved for international students.

6. Official academic transcripts and grade certificates are needed.  

Scholarships

The University does not provide any scholarships for degree programs. You may find other options like the DAAD-STIBET scholarships for advanced applicants.

Scholarships are provided for up to six months for those enrolled at the institution in B. Sc, Ph.D., or M. Sc programs.

Beihilfe is the emergency support scheme for students with sponsorship from the Ministry of Science. There are short-term scholarships given to students in the form of an emergency fund by the university. This is only sanctioned for international students in unforeseen situations. 

About Placements

The University offers dedicated career and placement services. It holds career fairs for connecting students with prospective employers and also has its job exchange where companies publish advertisements (Stellenwerk). 

There are internship opportunities and offers at PraktikumsInfoBörse while special internships are available for those in social sciences and humanities via Studium-Praktikum-Beruf, the internship exchange program of the Student Counseling Center. There is an alumni network that organizes various events while offering advice on academic opportunities. Mentoring programs are also available for students.
