University of Kent: Infrastructure & History

The small community of students and staff who arrived in 1965 were the forerunners of the university and formed the University of Kent UK into the inclusive, international, and inspiring community it is today. The sponsors accepted the name “University of Kent” at Canterbury as per a letter from sponsors to the University Grants Committee stating that Canterbury is a good location, and that the government accepts its principle. The first batch of undergraduates arrived in 1965 on the Canterbury campus. Around 1974, the library of the university was the first to use an online system in a UK university.

While having a rich heritage in education, it has fulfilled its objective of providing quality higher education. Ranked 25th in the UK for Research Intensity in Business and Management (REF 2014-2021), Kent Business School offers an engaging teaching experience backed by world-class research. This experience is further enhanced by the professional partnerships, the international community, and faculty, creating an exciting atmosphere to learn, where innovation is encouraged, and challenges are met. University of Kent: Fee Structure and Accommodation

Full-Time Education

In 2019-20, the university allocated nearly £18 million (INR 1817202600) in student support, including £5.6 million (INR 565352006) in scholarships, bursaries, grants, and awards for their undergraduate students.
