One USP of Mount Mary University is that it is Wisconsin’s only private college to have an accredited interior design program. It is also an all-women’s college at the undergraduate level. US News Ranking has ranked Mount Mary University #58 out of 167 Regional Universities Midwest. The School Sisters of Notre Dame established Mount Mary University in 1913.

The Higher Learning Commission along with the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools have accredited Mount Mary University. The total undergraduate enrollment of the university is 716 (fall 2021). The student-faculty ratio of the University is 15:1.

With an urban setting, the university has a campus size of 80 acres. The Mount Mary University campus incorporates Caroline Hall and Notre Dame Hall, Kostka Hall and Fidelis Hall, Bergstrom Hall, Haggerty Hall, Gerhardinger Centre, Bolechl Recreation Centre.
