Nancy Krucher, PhD, a professor of biology at Pace University, had an interest in cancer research while she was an undergraduate student and experienced her first lab setting. She has been working in the field for about thirty years. This year, biology students Michael Ferretti '24 and Anastasiia Vaska '24 have joined Krucher in her endeavor. They are examining the drug's reaction on 3D models of melanoma cells, which they believe to be more physiologically true than tumors behaving in live patients.

• The brothers Charles and Homer Pace founded the university in 1906. Initially, it was a business school and was known as the Pace Institute.
