The setting of this university is rural and the campus size is 210 acres. The university utilises a semester-based calendar. It is the only state university in Pennsylvania to offer degrees in Civil Engineering, computer engineering, electrical engineering, entrepreneurship, mechanical engineering and software engineering. This university offers several student services including nonremedial tutoring, placement service, health service, 24 hours emergency telephone services, late-night escort, Health Insurance, 24-hour foot and vehicle patrols, controlled dormitory access and so on. Alcohol is not permitted for students of legal age at this university. This university offers its students a huge library with many facilities and laboratories on various subjects for advanced learning.
