The referee has used the code either while signing up or while submitting the application.

The referee has commenced the batch and completed 15 days in the program.

In the case of a enrolled learner, the Referrer’s batch should also have commenced before the payout window.

Users who have ONLY SIGNED UP on the upGrad website and not enrolled in any program are “Non-enrolled” users.

If you are an enrolled learner but your full payment is not received and your batch has not commenced even after the referee's batch has commenced, you will be deemed as a Not Enrolled Learner

Students who have paid for an upGrad course are “Enrolled” users.

Referee applying the referral code while signing up or filling the application for the program of interest is a mandatory requirement for a Referrer to be eligible for the referral reimbursement.

Incase the referral code is not applied, upGrad will not be able to assist further.

If you have already signed up with upGrad, either enter your friend’s email ID who you would like to refer or simply share the referral invite link with them.

If you haven’t yet signed up with upGrad, do that first and then follow the above mentioned step.

For enrolled learners, follow the below steps to find your code:

• Login to the learn platform and navigate to the drop down available on the top right corner.
• You will see the “Refer and Earn” option in the account section. Share the referral code with your friend/connection or drop their email or invite them using the referral invite link.

For not enrolled learners, follow the below steps to find your code:

• Visit the upGrad website and navigate to the “Refer and Earn” tab in the “more” option on the top panel of the website.
• Share the referral code with your friend/connection or drop their email or invite them using the referral invite link.
• The referral code once entered by the friend who has blocked the seat and has enrolled with upGrad, cannot be modified/changed. In this case, the learner is not entitled to any referral reimbursements. (Please note:- If the referral code once entered by a friend is incorrect, the policy remains the same).

Enrolled user -

Once the referee meets the eligibility criteria mentioned in the policy, our team will reach out to you asking for your bank details by filling a form through referral@upgrad.com.

Once the form is filled out by you, we take 40 working days to process the amount.

Not Enrolled user -

Once the referee meets eligibility criteria mentioned in policy , our team will reach out to you asking for your bank details by filling a form through referral@upgrad.com

If the referral code punched by your friend is incorrect or someone else, in this case, you will not be eligible for your reimbursement.

That could be because -

• The referee has not used your code.
• The referee’s batch has not yet started.
• The referee has not paid the full fees for the course.
• Your referral code applied by your friend has been blocked

Referee benefits are provided in the form of a fee waiver and can be availed at the time of making your fee payment except for programs from the following universities - NMIMS, IIT- Delhi, Amrita University and Chandigarh University, Golden Gate University - where the reimbursements are not provided at the time of payment.

A referral reimbursement is different from a scholarship & in case your query is pertaining to the scholarship, please reach out to your admissions counselor.
