Describe A Law On Environmental Protection IELTS Cue Card Sample Answers.

Sample 1.

Introduction: In my country, the government enacts various laws to ensure the smooth operation of the state.

What exactly is it: I'd like to talk about a very important law recently passed to protect the environment. It is quite unfortunate to see the environment deteriorating daily, and if not taken seriously, it will have disastrous consequences. Plastic waste is currently the most difficult challenge. Plastic makes up a large portion of solid waste, which is constantly increasing. Every day, millions of tonnes of plastic waste end up in landfills. Because it is a non-biodegradable product, it will remain there indefinitely. At the same time, it emits extremely hazardous substances.

How did you first become aware of it: Plastic waste is currently the greatest challenge, in my opinion. This is because plastic makes up a large portion of solid waste, which constantly increases. Every day, millions of tonnes of plastic waste end up in landfills. Moreover, it will remain there indefinitely because it is a non-biodegradable product.

How do you feel about this law: It is resulting in a significant reduction in waste production while also keeping the environment clean and green.

Sample 2.

Introduction: From air and water pollution to climate change and deforestation, the world faces increasing environmental challenges. As a result, governments worldwide have enacted various laws and regulations to protect our natural resources and maintain the planet's ecological balance. The Endangered Species Act, enacted in the United States in 1973, is one such law that is intended to protect and conserve endangered species and their habitats.

What exactly is it: The Endangered Species Act is a federal law aimed at protecting plant and animal species that are on the verge of extinction. The act forbids the harm, harassment, or killing of endangered species and establishes a framework for their population and habitat recovery. It also forbids the trade of endangered species and their parts or products, whether alive or dead.

How did you first become aware of it: The Endangered Species Act first came to my attention during my studies in environmental science, where we learned about the various laws and policies that govern environmental protection. We talked about how the Endangered Species Act is an important tool for protecting endangered species and their habitats and how its provisions can help prevent the extinction of species that are critical to the ecological balance of our planet.

How do you feel about this law: As an environmentalist, I strongly support the Endangered Species Act and its mission to protect endangered species and their habitats. Every species has a right to exist, and our responsibility is to protect the natural world for future generations. The Endangered Species Act, in my opinion, is a critical component of environmental protection, and I hope that it will be enforced and strengthened in the coming years.
