The test is conducted throughout the year, and candidates are allowed to attempt 4 tests per month, which totals up to 48 tests per year. The IELTS test centers are available all over India. You can select a date of your choice, and take the test by paying an application fee of ₹17,000. However, this will vary depending on the type of test you take.

The registration, cancellation, and rescheduling of examinations are conducted with guidelines as set by the organizing body.

Payment Mode For IELTS Exam Fee in India

• Demand Draft - It is important to remember that the demand draft is drawn in the name of "IDP EDUCATION INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED, Payable in New Delhi" and is drawn from the approved bank list.
• Bank deposit – Candidates can make cash deposits in ICICI/HDFC bank branches using a customized deposit slip that can be downloaded from the IELTS IDP India website or received from the local IELTS IDP branch office/ referral partner. Along with the IELTS application form, the original customer copy of the deposit slip is needed along with the IELTS application.

IELTS Cancellation Fee 

The cancellation fee for various IELTS exams are: 

Test type	Cancellation procedure and refund amount
Paper-based IELTS test	The Transfer & Cancellation/Refund Application Form has to be filled up and sent to the centre along with the original payment receipt of the test fee. Application for cancellation made 9 days prior to the test date is subject to an administrative charge of ₹4,250(taxes included). Rest ₹12,750 will be refunded within 10–12 working days from the application date.  No refund would be made for applications sumbitted in less than 9 days before the test date.
Computer-delivered IELTS test	Application for cancellation made 9 days prior to the test date is subject to an administrative charge of ₹4,300( taxes included. Rest ₹12,900 will be refunded within 10–12 working days from the date of application.  No refund would be made for applications submitted  less than 9 days before the test date.
IELTS Life skills	An administrative charge of ₹4,000(taxes included) will be applicable for cancellation 9 days prior to the test date.  Rest ₹12,000 will be refunded within 10 - 12 working days from the date of application.
IELTS UKVI	An administrative charge of ₹4,300, including all taxes will be applicable if the application for cancellation is made 9 days prior to the test date, and the rest ₹12,900 will be refunded within 10–12 working days from the date of application.
IELTS One Skill Retake (OSR)	IELTS OSR test can be canceled 72 hours or more before the test starts. Applicants would receive a refund of ₹8,475. This is applicable only if there is a serious medical condition or situation of bereavement.

IELTS Rescheduling Fee 

If candidates need to modify their test date, they must request a test day transfer at least five weeks before their scheduled test date and pay the cancellation/postponement cost. In addition, the replacement test date must be within three months of the original test date.

Rechecking Fee For IELTS Test

If candidates are unsatisfied with the results, they can get their IELTS exam score re-checked. They should remember that it must be done within six weeks of the test date. The candidate needs to complete the application and submit/courier the same, along with the fee. 

The fee can be paid by Demand Draft, payable in New Delhi, in the name of "IDP EDUCATION INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED.” The fee will only be refunded if the result is changed. This can take two to four weeks to be processed.

IELTS Exam Fee for Additional Test Report Form (ATRF)

Up to five ATRF can be submitted to universities for free of cost. However, if you need to submit your results to more than five universities, an administrative fee of ₹250 per university would be applicable.
