Data visualisation offers you the insight that you are looking for immediately, but the information is not always complete. Hence, in most cases, you will need to calculate metrics that provide you with relevant information on the characteristics of a dataset.
The aim of this session is to acquaint you with important measures that can help with representing data.
You will take a step forward and learn what insights you can draw by using the different summary metrics for a dataset. The broad topics that you will see in this session include:
Measures of Central Tendency of a dataset
Measures of Dispersion of a dataset
Interquartile Spread
You will learn how to use these metrics of descriptive statistics to draw conclusions regarding the type of distribution followed by a variable.
It is important to have Microsoft Excel installed on your computer. You also need to follow the steps given in this link and activate Data Analysis ToolPak for Excel.
