Shortcuts in Excel

In the last session, we've seen how Keyboard Shortcuts help us to do the same task faster. However, it is always a problem to remember "many" shortcuts.

In this video, Anand tells us a technique of discovering shortcuts in Excel. 

In this segment, we learned the process of discovering shortcuts:

• Press Alt and follow the menu on the screen

Make it a habit of using shortcuts religiously. With time, your fingers will get habituated to the most commonly used shortcuts and you will no longer have to spend time remembering shortcuts. It also helps to remember some of the commonly used shortcuts (e.g.: Insert a column, advanced formatting, insert charts, etc). In order to help you with the same, a ready-reckoner of commonly used shortcuts is attached in the summary of session 1. 

In the next segment, you will learn about formulae in Excel and a very important data analysis concept - Bucketing!
