Visualisation of Quantitative Data in Data Analysis

In the previous segment, you learnt about the various types of variables. Let's go and learn the type of visualisations that can be utilised in the case of quantitative variables. The first type of visualisation that we are going to learn is scatterplots.

1.Scatterplot

Thus the scatter plot enables you to analyse the data in the following ways. Check the images below to get further clarity :

• You can study how two numerical variables are related
• You can study the way in which the data is distributed within a specific interval by using the dot density.

2.Line Chart

Now that you've understood the concept of how to create a scatter plot let's go ahead and try to grasp the concept of creating a line chart.

So the line chart has the following properties:

• You can measure/observe the change in a variable over an interval of time
• Useful for time series analyses like finding trends and showing the relationships between them.

3.Histograms and Frequency Polygons

Histograms are useful for visualising the distribution of numerical data and make inferences out of them. Let's hear Soudhakar as he explains about them.
