By now, your arsenal is probably loaded with some basic guidelines on how to be effective in verbal communication, written communication and non-verbal communication. But, how do you decide what is more important for a particular professional conversation?
For example, what is the right way to communicate in a job interview? What is the right emotion for a compensation discussion with a subordinate? How do you provide critical feedback? Or, how do you have a decent informal conversation with a colleague? We will deal with some of these aspects in this session.
We will not discuss how you can answer a question such as ‘Tell me about yourself’ or share tips on ‘How to ask for a raise’ or explain the feedback sandwich. But, we will analyse these situations from a neutral point of view, which will help you prepare for such situations or answer such questions effectively.
