Welcome to the session on ‘Improving Operational Efficiency in Healthcare Organisations’. Before we begin, let's understand a patient’s journey in a hospital to figure out the possible inefficiencies that can be plugged through technology.

The patient care journey can be divided into three key processes: 

  • Admission 
  • Record-keeping, and 
  • Discharge.

During each of these phases, healthcare providers and patients face a lot of challenges, such as unavailability of doctors, long waiting hours, lack of patient history, etc., all of which affect the operational efficiency of an organisation. Can these challenges be resolved through robust technological solutions?

  • In the fifth segment, you will learn about levers that can be used while choosing the right tech intervention for an organisation.
  • In the final segment, you will learn about some industry insights through an interview series.
