Market Sizing guesstimate is the most famous type of question asked in the interviews of consulting or marketing firms. These can be basically solved either from the demand or the supply perspective. A few examples should help you understand this better:

These types of guesstimate are those that fall in neither of the above-mentioned categories. They do not require any pre-reads or above-average knowledge, but they are a bit tricky to solve. Hence, the general approach when you encounter these is to break the guesstimate down until you reach either of the above types of guesstimates and then start solving it from there and eventually combine all the answers.
